History

Patrick and Elly Suverein, originally from the Netherlands, realized their dream by acquiring Ximuwu in 2016. Their extensive travels through 30 African nations led them to fall in love with South Africa’s Klaserie. In 2021, they opened the doors to their bush haven with Ximuwu’s launch. Their unique design flair has been crucial in shaping its distinctive appeal. Now settled in Klaserie, they take joy in welcoming international visitors. Guests at Ximuwu can expect engaging encounters, from shared stories at the bar to a friendly ‘howzit’ greeting. For Patrick and Elly, the ultimate reward is watching guests immerse themselves in the Ximuwu experience, a testament to their commitment to world-class safari hospitality.
