Elegant, Wheelchair Accessible Accommodation
Luxury Safari Lodge in Greater Kruger
Welcome to Ximuwu Lodge, set within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger ecosystem, where everyone will experience their dream safari. We offer privacy, outstanding comfort, and a warm, personal atmosphere that makes every stay feel special.
The lodge accommodates a maximum of eight guests across four wheelchair-accessible suites, plus a nearby private villa. With so few guests at any time, the experience is genuinely private — from the game drive vehicle to the dining table.
A BLEND OF COMFORT AND NATURE
Our Suites
Ximuwu’s four suites are north-facing, filled with natural light, and designed around the view: floor-to-ceiling windows that look directly over the waterhole. Wildlife sightings from inside your room are not unusual.
Each suite features a well-stocked minibar, smart TV, fireplace, and a spacious private patio. The bathroom faces the Lowveld — a bathtub positioned so that the landscape outside becomes part of the experience.
Comfortable, relaxing, and beautifully designed, our accommodation is designed to be as accessible as it is luxurious.
A PLACE TO UNWIND
The Main Lodge & Outdoor Spaces
The central lodge at Ximuwu was designed for the unhurried hours between safaris. A refined bar, a comfortable lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a sheltered patio that opens toward the bush — all accessible to guests who use wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
Outside, a pool and sun deck sit beside the open fire pit, both overlooking the waterhole. It’s the kind of space where the afternoon simply passes — reading, watching a herd of elephants cross to the water, or doing nothing at all.
A cinema projector and smart TV in the bar means major sports events don’t have to be missed. The full music system runs throughout the lodge. Wi-Fi is complimentary.
DESIGN THAT REFLECTS THE WILD
Interiors Rooted in the African Bush
Ximuwu’s interiors are intentionally chosen. Every piece was designed specifically for this lodge, with the colours, textures, and atmosphere of the surrounding bush as the reference.
The paintings are commissioned to complement the lodge’s palette. The sculptural features are by local artists, and our hand-painted curtains were made by craftspeople in Cape Town. The result is a space that feels entirely of its place: warm and personal, without being rustic.
This balance of refined design in a genuinely wild setting is one of the things guests mention most consistently when they leave.
CUISINE
Gourmet Bush Dining at Ximuwu
With only a handful of guests, mealtimes stay intimate and personalised. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and beautiful surroundings turn mealtimes into an experience as memorable as the wildlife itself.
Our elegant dining and breakfast area blends contemporary African design with warm textures and soft lighting. Whether you start the day with a sunrise breakfast or end it with a candlelit dinner, the atmosphere invites you to slow down and enjoy every flavour.
And the magic doesn’t stop at the lodge. Many meals are served at surprise locations in the bush, adding adventure and excitement to every dining moment.
YOUR OWN SAFARI VILLA
Tluka Villa — Private Exclusive Use
Nestled a short walk from the main lodge, Tluka Villa is Ximuwu’s exclusive-use villa for larger groups or multi-generational families.
It sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms, and includes a private pool, full kitchen, indoor and outdoor living areas, and dedicated chef, butler, ranger, and game viewing vehicle.
Tluka Villa guests enjoy complete privacy and their own safari schedule. The villa does not include access to the main Ximuwu Lodge facilities unless booked in conjunction with the lodge. Please note that Tluka Villa is not wheelchair accessible.
