A Place to unwind and reconnect

Relax at Our Luxury Safari Lodge in Greater Kruger

At the heart of our luxury safari lodge in Greater Kruger, the central lodge invites you to unwind in style. Enjoy indoor and outdoor dining, a light-filled breakfast room, a refined bar, and a cosy lounge — all connected to a sheltered patio with stunning views.

Just steps away, the sun deck and firepit beside our 16-meter pool offer a peaceful space to relax and take in the surrounding wilderness. This tranquil layout ensures an intimate safari experience, far from the crowds — exactly as Ximuwu was designed to be.

Space, privacy, and unforgettable views

Luxury Safari Accommodation in Greater Kruger

Ximuwu offers an exclusive and intimate safari experience for just eight guests, with four spacious suites set near the main lodge for both privacy and easy access. Each suite is north-facing, filled with natural light, and features floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the waterholes — offering unforgettable wildlife sightings right from your room.

We welcome families travelling with minors under 8, who can comfortably share the suite with parents. Additionally, our pilot room offers a slightly smaller, yet fully air-conditioned space with a double bed — ideal for private staff or family overflow.

For larger groups or multi-generational travel, Ximuwu also offers The Hideaway — a separate, fully serviced luxury villa located in a private area of the reserve. Hideaway guests enjoy their own space and do not access the main lodge unless part of a full-group booking, ensuring both privacy and flexibility.

  • Big news from the bush… we’ve got new cubs!! 🦁🧡

A few days ago we discovered three brand new additions to the Sark pride – tiny, wobbly, and absolutely heart-melting.
We’ve kept our distance to give mom and her little ones the peace and space they need. The footage isn’t perfect, but that’s the beauty of real, respectful wildlife encounters.

We’re crossing fingers this special litter thrives – check our stories for a few videos too!

  • A new chapter at Ximuwu 🐾

We’re thrilled to welcome Rudi and Melinda Hulshof to the Ximuwu family as our new management couple! With a wealth of experience from incredible lodges like Royal Malawane and Singita, we couldn’t be more excited about the knowledge they bring and the high standards of luxury they’re used to working with.

At the same time, we’re saying a heartfelt farewell to Bradley and Demi. It didn’t come as a surprise to us, as we always knew they could only help us for a limited time. They’re now embarking on an exciting new journey as part of their own family-run safari business.

The best part? We share the same traverse, so you might still spot them on your next game drive… or even find them at our bar, toasting to old friends and new memories.

Here’s to exciting new adventures, for both couples! 🍾🧡
