  • Meet the African wildcat—one of Africa’s most elusive small predators and one of the ancestors of today’s domestic cat.

Quiet, secretive, and mostly active after dark, they’re a special sighting on any game drive.

  • The safari doesn’t end when the game drive does.

After an unforgettable afternoon in the bush, it’s time to slow down.

A warm shower, your favourite drink waiting at the bar, a gourmet dinner prepared by our chefs, and stories shared around the table with fellow travellers or your private group.

What was your favourite sighting today?
The lion?
The elephant?

Or perhaps the moment the African sunset stole the show.

At Ximuwu, every evening ends with good food, great company and memories worth sharing.
  • Did you know wild dogs have an average of 80% success rate in hunting? This drastically out performs other apex predators such as lions, leopards, etc.

It’s all about team work, the pack uses a sophisticated strategy to take down its prey, cutting off escape routes and using curatorial hunting (meaning they chase their prey to exhaustion).

When is the best time to watch them hunt: we can usually find them hunt in early mornings and early evenings.

  • Would you swop your morning traffic for this? ☀️ 🦒
  • Your own private villa in the African wilderness.

Morning coffee on the patio. Game drives beneath golden African skies. Evenings spent under a canopy of stars.

Tluka Villa offers the perfect balance of privacy, comfort and nature in the heart of the African bush. Fully catered with a private chef and butler, every detail is taken care of, allowing you to relax, reconnect and experience the magic of the wilderness with family and friends.

An elephant crossing the road - which sometimes puts a little delay in getting to bush breakfast 🥞

A rare encounter with one of Africa’s most endangered predators.

Nature’s clean-up crew hard at work.

A quiet moment on the plains.

And then this happens…

Just when we thought the game drive couldn’t get any better.
